Tygerberg Nature Reserve
In Cape Town we have a number of nature reserves and the Tygerberg is one of them. Most visitors who fly into Cape Town will fly down the west side of the Tygerberg as they prepare to land at Cape Town International airport. Its a long range of hills which has been left virtually untouched along its upper reaches although of late there has been quite a bit of building activity on its western slopes
Table Mountain Cable Car or hikes
If the idea of mountainous cliffs, steep drops and strenuous climbing blows your hair back, you might like to take the Cableway to the top and hike back down, or even hike both ways! Just remember that you won’t always be able to rely on the Cableway to get up or down (due to unpredictable weather conditions), so leave yourself enough time to hike to the top and back again before dark if needs be.
Whale watching in Hermanus
